The role:

As a result of ambitious growth plans, we are looking for a new Senior Associate to join our Court of Protection (CoP) team. The team deal with all aspects of CoP work, including property and affairs management and community care for clients who have received compensation as a result of personal injury or clinical negligence.

The team is growing so a Senior Associate is now required to manage complex work and help supervise more junior team members.  We would also like to strengthen the team’s technical knowledge, in terms of personal injuries trusts and statutory wills.

The role can be based in either our Guildford or Southampton office (Guildford is preferred).  However, a flexible, hybrid working approach of combining office and home working is available, including flexible hours.

The person:

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • A solid background in Private Client work (specific Brain Injury Litigation experience is not essential as full training will be given).
  • Very strong technical skills in Statutory Wills and Personal Injury Trusts, to manage complex queries.
  • A hands-on, efficient ‘doer’ who can improve the quality of existing work and complete work to a very high standard.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills to manage and develop junior team members.
