Superb opportunity to work in-house for a fantastic GC with an extensive track record of developing legal talent, particularly those moving in-house for the first time. Manchester with hybrid working.
Opportunity:
Our Manchester based client is led by a fantastic General Counsel that truly puts her team first. An experienced in-house solicitor with a wealth of knowledge, she has a proven track record of developing, progressing and supporting her team, and helping solicitors to successfully transition into the world of in-house legal.
If you are thinking about making the move in-house for the first time, or perhaps you seek to move into a more varied, supportive and/or challenging in-house role, then this opportunity is well worth consideration.
Company:
The company itself is an ambitious, diverse and fast moving business, and the leadership team has exciting plans that could see the organisation double in size.
Based in Greater Manchester in modern offices, the working environment is of good quality and the company has also embraced hybrid/home working.
Role - Legal Counsel:
To support the business as it expands, the General Counsel seeks to recruit an additional Legal Counsel for her team.
Whilst the work is general commercial in nature, the General Counsel is more than happy to consider applications from solicitors specialising in other areas of commercial law. This includes: corporate, commercial litigation, banking and other commercial disciplines.
About you:
The General Counsel is open minded about level of PQE however it is anticipated that the Legal Counsel will have c. 2-6 years' PQE.
You will ideally have experience of working in a leading regional, national or international law firm, and existing in-house experience is not essential.
Individuals with existing commercial contracts experience are encouraged to apply however my client has a track record of considering bright individuals looking to make the transition in-house from other commercial disciplines
Most important to the GC is that you are eager to work in-house, you have a real desire to handle a varied mix of legal work, and you are willing to learn about, and apply yourself, to new areas of law.
BCL Legal is an equal opportunities employer.
