Risk & Compliance Manager

An opportunity has arisen for a Risk and Compliance Manager to join an established private practice law firm in Reading. 

You will be responsible for supporting fee earners across all departments within the firm.  In the main dealing with an array of matters including:

• Advising on risk and compliance issues working with the SRA, Legal Ombudsman and Information Commissioner
• Ensuring robust systems are in place in respect of AML procedures and processes across the firm
• Data Protection - ensuring GDPR and FCA compliance
• Working with colleagues on the ongoing development and implementation of Risk & Compliance training
• To take responsibility for and oversee the annual Lexcel accreditation process, including ensuring suitable firm-wide compliance on an ongoing basis
• Assist with the annual renewal process for the firm’s professional indemnity insurance as well as the reporting of possible claims

To be considered for this role you should have:

• 5+ years’ experience in the legal risk & compliance sector providing advice around risk avoidance
• Previously qualified fee earner to ensure excellent technical skills
