Commercial Lawyer

Our client are a leading top 100 UK law firm, with a rich heritage spanning over 150 years advising businesses, institutions and individuals in the UK and internationally. Throughout the firms history their ethos has remained simple: providing clear legal advice and value and insight to their clients.

They now wish to recruit a Commercial Lawyer/Legal Director or Partner with at least 6 years PQE to join the Commercial team.

Their lawyers have the expertise and experience to advise on all areas of commercial activity, from contracts for the provision of goods and services with the public or private sector, through to complex intellectual property and technology agreements, joint ventures, outsourcing arrangements and agency and distribution issues both in the UK and cross border. 

The successful candidate will need

• Experience of domestic and cross border commercial agreements in a range of sectors
• Working knowledge/experience of all, and detailed/specialist knowledge/experience of some of:
  • Common regulatory aspects such as competition law and Commercial Agents Regulations
  • Distribution and agency arrangements
  • Outsourcing and supply of services arrangements
  • Supply chain contracts
  • Contractual joint ventures
  • Know-how licencing arrangements
  • IT solutions arrangements

Qualifications/Experience

• A Senior Associate or Legal Director/Partner of 6 years PQE + gained within a strong regional or City firm.
• Strong academic background.
• Interest in and aptitude for business development
