One of our successful US Law Firms is currently seeking to recruit a Legal Executive Assistant into their busy Tax Department. The focus of this role will be to support the Head of practice and the wider team, constantly learning about the department and being a key contact point for the department both internally and externally. Candidates with experience 1 to 1 care with prior experience in tax, and those who have strong working experience of managing a busy desk for partners would be beneficial. This role will report to the Secretarial Manager.

Main duties for this role will include but are not limited to:

  • Full control of inboxes, calendars, and diaries on behalf of the HOD
  • Prepare, edit and proofread all work, adhere to house-style with attention to detail and a focus on quality on emails, spreadsheets,, event invites and other important documents and correspondence
  • Work closely and effectively with Executive Assistants, central teams and in collaboration with other Legal Secretaries, providing support in cases of holidays and absences and taking on other HR duties when required.
  • Conflict checks
  • Manage billing, compliance and expenses processes on behalf of the team, to include generating bills and collating WIP reports
  • Marketing and business development duties to aid practice.
  • Demonstrate confidentiality, diplomacy and a thorough understanding of the group and clients who you support.

Candidates must be strong team workers, able to follow direction when required and work well of their own initiative. Candidates must also have proven experience working in a legal Secretary or Legal PA style role in a professional services or legal environment. Advanced knowledge of various MS software programs and team management skills are essential. Standard working hours for this role are 9:30am- 5:30pm with a flexible attitude around the needs of the firm. This role is paying a salary of up to £60,000 (dependent on experience).
