An opportunity has arisen at an exciting renewables start-up founded by two major global companies, having recently secured considerable future funding. Created to invest, develop and operate renewable energy generation and supply power to major users, they have just entered a huge growth phase and are now looking to expand their global legal function.
Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer you will provide vital legal support to the UK businesses commercial operations as they continue to deliver a considerable development pipeline. This is an opportunity for a well-rounded energy/infrastructure lawyer, ideally with renewables experience. Your experience should not be limited to project development aspects (e. land, planning, grid) but should ideally extend to construction (EPC/O&M) and operational aspects (PPAs). An understanding of banking/finance would be a bonus.
Ideally you will be 3-7 PQE with strong post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm and/or as an in-house counsel, with experience across Energy, Infrastructure & Projects. The ideal candidate will be an effective operator, confident in providing prompt and commercially focused advice in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Subject to performance, this role will offer an exciting progression path with an opportunity to grow a team and become the UK General Counsel. Offering a generous salary and bonus as well as hybrid working, this is a fantastic opportunity to progress your in-house career.
Please note our advertisements use PQE/salary levels purely as a guide. However we are happy to consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary to fulfil the role.
