In-house Legal Associate - 12 Month FTC (REMOTE)

Our client are a not for profit business who work with Technology and provide tech solutions. They are a membership body supporting educational establishments with tech services and solutions.

Description

Responsibilities will be expected to be developed and finalised over time and will include but will not be restricted to:

The Legal Associate will be responsible for providing legal support and assistance as directed by the Group General Counsel whilst operating independently to deliver the following accountabilities:

* Reviewing commercial legal documents and providing timely and commercially focused advice to colleagues across the group on potential legal issues arising. (The can often include technology, data protection, procurement matters among other matters)

* Engaging with internal clients, sector institutions, stakeholders and external suppliers to facilitate the strategic objectives of the group

* Carrying out specialised legal research in respect of ongoing work and preparing legal reports and papers on current legal issues and practice areas where required.

* Drafting contract templates, bespoke agreements and a variety of other legal documentation as required.

* Mentoring other members of the Legal team to assist their professional growth and development where appropriate

* Providing specialist training as required to staff across The group to develop a greater understanding of legal issues, risks and mitigation strategies.

* Promoting risk management, compliance with applicable policies and procedures and relevant legislation and regulation and effective corporate governance.

Job Offer

Salary: DOE (There are strict banding for certain level of qualification - we can discuss this with you if you are interested)

Highly flexible working: Mot people work remotely and are based all over the UK. Office attendance will be minimal but the office is there for those who would like to go in (Bristol, Oxford, Manchester, London etc)
