Overview:

  • We have an exciting opportunity for a corporate associate to join a UK based firm which is a market leader in what they do and have consistently saw a healthy increase on their revenue year on year.
  • The Role will consist of:
  • Mergers & Acquisitions – primarily private transactions (but also Blue Book)
  • Equity capital markets – acting for issuers as well as many of the financial advisers, investment banks, nominated advisers and brokers most active on AIM and the Main Market on IPOs, secondary issues (placings, open offers etc) and strategic M&A
  • Private equity, venture capital, private wealth as well as alternative investment funds and family offices – acting for investors, investee companies and management teams
  • International investment – a pre-eminent emerging markets practice acting for funds, institutions, government agencies and impact investors in challenging frontier markets

The Candidate:

  • 2022 Qualifier
  • Experience of or an interest in advising on UK equity capital markets-related transactions, Impact Investing and advising clients in the financial services sector
  • Strong interpersonal skills, being an effective communicator at all levels (written and verbal)
  • A commercial (including understanding the numbers), pro-active, professional and conscientious approach to work
  • Technically strong
  • Excellent drafting skills
  • The ability to master their business development skills and professional networks as well as their legal expertise
  • Self-confidence, initiative, and an innovative thinker
  • Self-motivation and commitment to working towards goals with strong enthusiasm and career commitment
