This role will provide direct support to the wider legal and procurement team whilst operating as a strategic partner to the Legal and Commercial Director and Managing Director of Client Relationships.

The role serves to support the company by driving holistic legal and commercial best practice, improvements and oversight whilst giving visibility and control to any risks.

Description

  • Legal and commercial management of client propositions from cradle to grave with the provision of commercial and legal compliance support as to management of commercial and legal risk
  • Drafts and negotiates all documentation related to commercial transactions to achieve the best outcome
  • Partners with the appropriate internal and external teams to support the development and implementation of strategies to minimise the risk in commercial transactions which shall include the legal risk and management and protection of revenue / margin
  • Reports status, successes, challenges and key activities to the Legal and Commercial Director on all commercial legal matters in progress
  • Using experience to offer pragmatic legal advice on commercial and corporate matters which is appropriately contextualised with recommendations as ratified with the Legal and Commercial Director in accordance with Legal policy
  • Guides legal policy in relation to commercial and corporate matters and ensures audit compliance
  • Advises and intervenes appropriately to resolve legal issues and / or contractual claims (contractual or otherwise) and disputes as they arise in relation to commercial or corporate matters
  • Drives collaboration when providing legal and commercial advice and support
  • Supports the engagement of external counsel
  • Provide and interpret legal and commercial information and disseminate appropriate legal and commercial advice to stakeholders as required ensuring it is understood and contextualised with appropriate recommendations
  • Deal with miscellaneous ad-hoc legal and commercial queries as required
  • Support the legal risk portfolio with support from the Legal and Commercial Director and Managing Director of Client Relationships in relation to commercial and corporate matters
