Legal Counsel- Financial services conglomerate

Description

A global financial services conglomerate is looking for an in-house counsel to join a growing team to work closely with the business at a time when the company is in the process of a rapid expansion. This role offers excellent development opportunities and a chance to work closely with the General Counsel on of a variety of work.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and managing legal risk across the business.
• Leading on the negotiating and review of complex legal documentation.
• Ensuring that the legal department has appropriate  and compliant policies and procedures in place.

Requirements

• A UK or commonwealth qualified lawyer with 3+ PQE* working in a brokerage, capital markets, LME/Commodities, FX and/or asset management.

• Significant experience in negotiating and advising on commercial contracts and derivatives documentation would be beneficial.
• Exceptional organisational and an ability to work pro-actively is essential.
