Due to continued growth within its employment client base, a role has come up with a leading Legal 500 firm within its flagship head office in Northampton.
The ideal candidate will be an established employment solicitor with 3-5 years PQE and an excellent technical knowledge of reviewing and amending employment contracts and consultancy contracts, reviewing HR policies and staff handbooks and advising on HR matters, including performance management, absence management, disciplinary processes, grievance processes and procedures, equality act matters and anti-compete issues.
Further to this, the ideal candidate will have had exposure to management of employment litigation including unfair dismissal, discrimination and restrictive covenants, as well as advising on all aspects of TUPE, redundancy and reorganisation including consultation processes, risk areas, varying terms and conditions and also advising on settlement agreements.
You will be working closely with the firm's Head of Employment, who manages a caseload of mainly respondent employment law matters, and also alongside a Legal 500 corporate commercial team. You will ideally have exposure to fee earning within the above-mentioned matters and some exposure assisting senior lawyers and partners with high value claimant and respondent work.
In return, the firm is offering a competitive remuneration package including a leading salary and benefits structure that rivals similar local firms. You will be joining a rapidly growing and expanding department that has access to a number of large commercial clients within the local and regional markets.
