Principal Associate, Casualty, Glasgow , £65,000+

The Casualty department at this well-established defendant insurance firm, is recruiting for a Principal Associate to join its team in Glasgow, to manage a case load of high value and complex, pre-litigated and litigated disease claims, on behalf of a diverse client base including insurers, policy holders and local authorities.

You will be joining a friendly and supportive team, assisting other lawyers and lead supervisors, as well as being able to supervise and train junior lawyers in the team. In addition, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to developing the business in an existing established market. You will be passionate, commercially aware and capable of using your initiative to generate new opportunities.

Candidates should be qualified Solicitors with at least 5 years PQE and previous experience of handling litigated claims in the Court of Session and Sheriff Court. You will have preferably handled disease claims before. You will have excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills and an attention to detail. An aptitude for teamwork, as well as an ability to be self-motivated and use your own initiative are also essential for this role, as is an ability to keep to strict deadlines, multi-task and prioritise your workload.

Salary of £65,000 dependent on experience, as well as an excellent benefits package and supportive working environment.
