Paralegal required for a large international law firm's Manchester office, to deal with construction law

Your new company
This is a large international law firm based in Manchester, who are market leading and looking to grow their team with a paralegal. The firm are globally operating, with offices in over 80 locations worldwide in over 50 countries, and employ over 5000 qualified lawyers. The company practice a wide range of corporate and commercial law, dealing with tax, banking and finance, litigation, insurance, private equity, mergers and acquisitions and much more. The firm are looking to grow and expand, and are eager to bring in a construction paralegal to assist with a growing workload and new clients.

Your new role
As a paralegal, primarily dealing with construction, your main aims and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
* Drafting engagement letters
* Initial drafts/revisions of correspondence
* Extranet site set up, uploading and ongoing maintenance as a repository for electronic copies of documents
* Reviewing and summarising documents received from the client and producing chronologies and indices
* Preparing initial drafts of documentation such as collateral warranties and consultant appointments
* Preparing engrossments and checking documents have been properly executed
* Walking clients through the document execution process
* Helping to develop document automation to promote movement towards more frequent use of AI technology
* Helping / mentoring the firm's solicitor apprentices

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, you will hold a degree in Law or Business Law or will be working towards CILEX and may have experience of working as a paralegal or within a legal environment. Having experience within construction is
The firm are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a strong academic background. You will have a keen eye for detail with the ability to use your initiative whilst working on multiple tasks. You will have excellent organisational and time management skills and the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines. Exceptional communication skills are necessary, as is the ability to work well in a team.
