Corporate Client Associate Role with a Prestigious, Global Firm

Our client, a prestigious, international firm, is looking for a strong corporate lawyer to join their private equity team as a client associate.

This is an ideal role for someone who wants an interesting, dynamic role, but wants to step away from transactional work.

While this role sits within the private equity team, you do not need to be a private equity specialist, just a strong corporate lawyer. This role would be a quasi in house lawyer role looking after the portfolio of companies held by the private equity clients. This is a supervising role that would have support from the trainees, NQs and 1 year PQE associates. This is not fee earning, transactional role in the traditional sense, although the work is chargeable. This could be done as a 4 day a week role, or around school hours and is seen as a 9:00 -6:00 position, so it has a work/life balance.

The person in this role would be responsible for:
Buying and selling companies for the private equity funds,
Shareholder resolutions and general corporate work.
Small corporate restructurings
Simple equity arrangements
Corporate documentation and drafting
Looking after client relationships and it is very much a client facing role, dealing with company managers.
This role requires a minimum of 5 years' PQE. The person would need strong management skills, so the preference is for someone a bit more senior.

Salary band would start at circa £150K, but would go up to reflect your PQE level accordingly.
