In House Construction Lawyer
We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor to join the legal team of this leading plc.
Roles and Responsibilities:
You will form part of an established legal team which provides strategic support across the business. This is a role involving real interaction with the commercial teams and is an excellent opportunity to obtain exposure to the business.
Drafting, reviewing ad negotiating construction contracts (JCT, NEC, IChemE) and associated project documentation from circa £5m to £100m in value.
Providing advice on project issues.
Reporting to the Head of Legal Services, the key to this role will be advising upon building contracts, professional appointments, collateral warranties, performance bonds, parent company guarantees, insurance and issues related to the construction and development process. This role will also involve advising upon day-to-day project issues.

We are happy to consider lawyers with a non contentious Construction background looking to climb into a new and exciting challenge. We would also be open to commercial lawyers with a strong contracts background with an interest in the sector.
You must be a UK Qualified Solicitor.
Working knowledge of transactional / non-contentious construction law and construction sector contracts experience would be preferable.
An understanding of the standard forms of building and engineering contract, professional appointment and collateral warranties.
Either private practice experience or in-house exposure.
Knowledge of and interest in the construction industry.
