They currently employ over 500 people, including over 80 Partners, and their award-winning teams provide construction, commercial, corporate, property, projects/PFI/PPP, regulatory, employment and litigation (commercial and clinical negligence) legal advice.
The Team
You will be joining a highly respected team who have advised on PPP/ PFI and infrastructure projects.
The team is headed up by industry leading, expert, Partners - both of whom are ranked in the legal directories, such as Legal 500, for their expertise in Energy, Project Finance and PFI.
The Role
You will support on the delivery of major PFI/PPP projects, including advising the procuring local authorities, or a bidder, sub-contractor, or investor during the procurement process.
Provide contract management advice through the construction and operational periods of signed PFI/PPP projects, including on complex contract variations, asset management, refinancing, changes in law, expiry and handback issues.
Advise on commercial contracts across the broader infrastructure and energy sectors
Have lots of client contact and responsibility (appropriate to your knowledge and expertise)
Undertake negotiations and client meetings
Receive support, training and development by senior members of the team
Develop your marketing and business development skills
In light of the ambition and potential growth plans for this team, for the right candidate and with a business case, there is the prospect of progression to Partner.
The Candidate
The firm will consider candidates from a range of backgrounds and experience including, for example, a lawyer with projects, construction, FM, investor or finance expertise without direct experience of our specific sectors. They provide support and training to the successful candidate who will gain excellent experience, development and career opportunities.
You will have around 6+ years' PQE in private practice or in-house experience
