The Role

This is a rare opportunity for a Private Wealth Partner to join a heavy-hitting law firm, in their Leeds office. Due to unprecedented growth across the firm, and particularly within the Private Wealth department, they are looking for an entrepreneurial individual to take the reins and continue to drive them forward.

The team provides Private Wealth services to a range of UK and international individuals, business owners, entrepreneurs, and family businesses, in addition to UK and international banks, wealth managers, and trust companies. The work is often complex and multi-jurisdictional, ensuring an interesting and dynamic flow of work. The quality of the service in the firm's Private Wealth department has been nationally recognised, and you can expect to work alongside individuals who are widely regarded as experts in this field.

On a strategic level, you will work closely with the other Partners across the Private Wealth department, and across the firm. The firm has genuinely exciting plans to grow its presence internationally, and the Private Wealth department will play a vital role in this expansion due to its existing international contacts. The Private Wealth department is also one of the firm's most profitable departments.

Requirements

  • You will be a Private Wealth Partner with at least ten years PQE (there is no upper limit in regards to the amount of experience)
  • You will have good technical knowledge and experience handling high value, complex matters
  • A transferable client base or strong network of contacts is highly advantageous
  • You will have strong business development ability and will be able to build strong relationships with clients
  • Ability to cross-sell other departments in the firm
  • Experience of leading a team is also desirable
