AML & Conflicts Team Leader

A global law firm is seeking to hire an AML & Conflicts Team Leader to lead their team in Manchester. This role involves assisting partners with the business inception process in line with all regulatory requirements, including conflicts of interest searches, AML processes, sanctions changes, and more.

Role and responsibilities will include:

• Leading the team with clear direction
• Developing and improving current processes
• Sharing knowledge amongst the team
• Identifying gaps in knowledge within the team and arranging training when needed
• Supervising the team, providing training and mentoring when required
• Monitoring the performance of the team
• Building relationships with key stakeholders
• Liaising with lawyers to identify potential conflicts relating to new matters and clients
• Escalating complex or sensitive conflicts when needed
• Ensuring Intapp Open is current, accurate and complete
• Acting as a first point of escalation for the team when a high risk client is identified
• Compiling registers of high risk clients and PEPs
