Directories listed Construction team at this private practice law firm in London is looking to recruit two contentious Construction lawyers, one of 0 to 1 and the other of 2 or more years’ PQE. The team acts for all parties in the supply chain, with a particular emphasis on Main Contractors and Sub-Contractors. They are well versed in adjudication and High Court business, regularly having conduct of these matters on behalf of clients. In the last 18 months the London Construction Team has been involved in quite a number of TCC matters and a similar number of adjudications for clients. They act for for a number of the top-10 and £50/£70m UK Contractors and hold various panel appointments for multi-national engineering companies. They also act for all of the Leading National House builders and developers. All of which has generated the need for additional recruits, particularly at the junior- and mid-level. The successful candidates will be involved in adjudications as well as drafting submissions. You will also have the opportunity to run and support High Court matters and have responsibility for running disclosure exercises and drafting witness statements. Furthermore, the role will also involve supporting the team with various forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution, such as mediation, therefore an understanding of alternative dispute resolution will be an advantage. Another aspect to the role will be to liaise directly with experts and counsel.
Qualified candidates will currently specialise in Construction law (either pure contentious or a mix of contentious and non-contentious but you must want to undertake a role which focuses on contentious matters). Newly-qualified candidates will have undertaken a seat in Construction law.
