Banking and Finance Paralegal
An excellent opportunity has arisen at a top tier US law firm for a banking and finance paralegal to join in a newly created role.
The Team
You will be the first paralegal in this specific team and as it is a small/medium sized team you will work closely with the partners and associates. They are really friendly and supportive and keep a sense of humour even when the hours are very long!
The Role
You can look forward to assisting on a range of matters including acquisition finance, project and real estate finance, general corporate lending and restructuring.
Often the matters are complex and will range from mid-market unitranche financings to the world’s largest acquisition financings.
Day to day the banking and finance paralegal can look forward to having autonomy over a number of administrative tasks and also with higher level tasks more akin to that of a trainee. Duties may include:
- Managing deal / data rooms
- Proofreading documents
- Preparing bundles and bibles
- Companies House Filings
- Drafting documents
- Legal research
The Requirements
The successful banking and finance paralegal is expected to have at least 6 months experience in a banking, finance or corporate role. You may be specialising in one type of finance for example real estate finance, and seeking a broader role, or working for a smaller firm and wanting to progress and work on larger matters.
