Locations: Bristol, Plymouth or Southampton

My client is a Top 100 law firm globally and Top 20 law firm in the UK. They have more than 400 partners and 1,000 lawyers based across 19 US cities and seven UK cities including a significant presence in London.

They have briefed me on a new opportunity for a Real Estate Lawyer which is very different from a conventional fee earning role.

The successful candidate can be based at the Bristol, Plymouth or Southampton office, and they are happy for you to work remotely for the majority and attend the office once or twice a week.

This role sits within a team that provides cost effective solutions to clients on large volume projects, process design and risk management. The majority of work within this department is carried out by junior fee earners, which means that clients save money as they are not paying a qualified Solicitors hourly rate necessarily

They describe it as being similar to an in-house role, as personal revenue earning is not the principal focus. They are looking for someone to lead their Real Estate team within this department and to be responsible for the technical supervision and development of junior lawyers.

As one of the technical specialists embedded within the team, you would help the team to deliver the most cost-effective solutions to their clients. There will be a degree of fee earning for the more complex matters, but this is not the principal focus of the role.

There has also been a large influx of Planning work due to growth, so they are particularly keen on hearing from applicants who have also dabbled in Planning law as well.

This role with suit individuals who wish to take a step back from day-to-day fee earning roles, and have a real passion for supervising and developing others.
