Corporate Media Associate - 3-6PQE

Pure Search are instructed by one of the leading names in the media, entertainment and sports sector who are looking to grow their corporate team with a mid-level hire.

The Company:

Our client is a Tier 1 ranked TMT practice with a track record of working with leading music, film, TV, sports and gaming clients. These include Premier League football clubs, global media streaming platforms and a range of TV and film clients, from major international conglomerates to start-up film production companies.

In many respects, the firm, and the corporate team in particular, operate more like an in-house client in terms of the way they work collaboratively with clients. The firm are innovative and creative in the way they work with their clients and have lower billable target hours than some larger City firms to allow associates time to develop their own networks as well.

The Role:

Working across a broad range of M&A, venture capital, private equity and investments, you will work with clients with constantly evolving needs, which are closely tied to the emergence of disruptive technology and Artificial Intelligence ('AI').

The role will expose you to a broad mix of corporate work across the media space. Recent work includes:

• Digital Media transaction - advising an international footballer in his equity investment
• Gaming transaction - advising a start-up gaming client on their series A investment round
• Sports transaction - advising a Premier League football club on its acquisition of a major TV network's investment in the club
• TV/Film transaction - advising a UK media group on multiple investments into TV production companies

About You:

You will have:

• At least 2 years post-qualification experience of private M&A and investment transactions at a Legal 500 ranked practice
• Previous experience working on media/technology transactions would be beneficial, although not essential
• A clear and defined interest in building a career in the media and entertainment space
• A genuine and proven track record of business development
