The Role

The firm is seeking a Planning Managing Associate to join their flourishing Leeds office.

The wider department has grown year on year and are highly ranked in the legal 500. They deal with a high quality of work, focusing on quality, with solicitors dealing with manageable caseloads.

The planning department is currently thriving, they deal with a varied caseload, acting for national retail and leisure chains, large country estates and leading public sector organisations. They have a particular expertise acting for the UK's biggest housebuilders.

You will carry out a very interesting caseload including development plans, objections to applications, section 106, 38, 278, 104 and other related agreements, wind farms, renewable energy, regeneration, development consent orders, compulsory purchase orders, applications and appeals.

This opportunity comes with excellent prospects for progression as it is a developing role to support the firm's growing caseload; senior positions at the firm are well within reach for the right candidate.

Requirements

  • You will be a Planning Solicitor with at least 7 years PQE (there is no upper limit in regard to the amount of PQE)
  • You will have good experience of running your own high-quality Planning caseload
  • Energy, drive and enthusiasm are key
  • You will have a meticulous eye for detail
  • Excellent communication and client care skills are necessary

Remuneration

  • Salary is negotiable depending on your level of PQE, plus an excellent benefits package
