Experienced Family Paralegal's required for a large Greater Manchester based Law Firm


Your new company
This is a large multi-service law firm based in Greater Manchester, who are looking to further grow their team with three family paralegals to help with an increasing workload. The firm are well known for having strong and regionally recognised teams in areas such as personal injury, medical negligence and family law. The company are looking to bring in experienced individuals who have gained a minimum of 6 months experience in a family law environment. They offer excellent progression and development opportunities, and only recruit trainees through their paralegal pool.

Your new role
As a family paralegal within the firms busy family department, you will be required to assist fee earners, solicitors and partners with their respective family caseloads, as well as handling cases and family matters of your own. Other typical roles and responsibilities would include:

• To work closely with partners and lawyers of the firm to handle family law cases.
• To undertake research relating to family law in order to provide advice.
• To prepare important legal bundles for court and attend when necessary.
• To build and maintain positive relationships with the firm's clients and be a good point of contact.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this role, it is essential that you have gained a minimum of 6 months experience within a family law role or similar legal environment. Having good academics is ideal, such as a minimum 2:1 on your LLB degree. As the firm like to progress paralegals to their training contracts, having the LPC would be beneficial.

What you'll get in return
The firm will offer a competitive salary for this role, up to £25,000 which is negotiable dependant on your previous experience and academic grades. The firm offer good chances to progress through the firm and receive a training contract. You will also have access to the firms pension scheme, free parking, and a good holiday allowance.
