Commercial Lawyer

Interim Commercial Lawyer (Central Government) – Full-Time – South West - £500-£650 per day

An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Solicitor to join an In House Central Government Legal Team in the South West, on an interim basis for a minimum period of 6 months which has the opportunity to be extended up to 2 years.

This is a full-time position, ideally starting as soon as possible on a predominantly remote working basis, office attendance is required once per week (accommodation will be paid for by client).

The role will be dealing with a range of duties including:

• General advice in relation to commercial agreements and procurement matters
• Negotiating T&C’s
• Providing legal training to support Commercial and Procurement team
• Drafting and agreeing SLAs

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years PQE, extensive commercial law experience and ideally a central government background. You must have good technical and business experience to work autonomously, with excellent written and oral communication skills.

Candidates with a Local Authority background will also be considered along with candidates with a background in private practice who have dealt with Commercial agreements on behalf of public sector clients.

This unique opportunity is offering a very attractive rate of £500 - £650 per day depending on experience.
