An amazing opportunity for an In-House Construction Lawyer (Property Technology) (CILEx) to join the legal team of a highly admired Niche Construction / mechanical engineering business based in central London. This business has worked on numerous iconic developments with an impressive number of projects secured for the next 5 yrs. This newly created role will act as number 2 in the legal team where you're required to provide practical legal advice on all construction-related matters and generally offer support to the Head of Legal and wider project management teams.

The In-House Construction Lawyer (Property Technology) Role
You will be responsible for drafting and negotiating building contracts, trade contracts, consultant appointments, sub-contracts warranties/third party rights, Parent Company Guarantees, NDAs, and other construction documentation.  A key area of this role requires your advice on construction procurement, including Two-Stage JCT Design & Build and NEC (e.g. ECC). Working knowledge and experience of FIDIC is advantageous but not essential.

There is a real commercial (non-legal) feel to this role where you will support the project management team on a wide variety of construction-related issues and documents including dealing with ad-hoc construction-related legal queries.  You will support the project management team on a wide variety of construction-related issues and share your legal knowledge to create legal updates and host training sessions for the project management teams.

Candidates for this The In-House Construction Lawyer (Property Technology) Role must have gained excellent non-contentious construction law experience while knowledge of drafting standard form contracts, JCT and NEC with some exposure to FIDIC is advantageous.
