The Role

The firm are looking for a Senior Associate to join this Top 20 Practice's leading Data Protection team, in their Manchester office.

You will advise many of the largest multinational organisations and key government departments on a broad range of matters including security programmes, design and implementation of global privacy, data transfer agreements, developing global policies, audit and risk assessments, responding to data breaches, supporting DPA's, audits and data mapping.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop new tools and work alongside governments and regulators to help shape emerging law, policy and regulation. Due to the international reach of the department, you will have the opportunity for cross-team working and international secondments.

Requirements

  • You will be a Data Protection Solicitor 5+ years PQE
  • You must have strong data protection experience gained in a leading commercial firm, or similar in-house environment.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of the key legal and business issues.
