Are you a litigation lawyer wanting to work in a local authority setting? An Exciting opportunity has arisen for civil litigation solicitors to join an established local authority in East Anglia on a locum basis for 3 months+ and on a full time or part time basis.

As a Civil Litigation Solicitor there will be a variety of matters to handle including commercial disputes, insolvency, bankruptcy, landlord and tenant and general debt recovery.

Experience in housing management and gypsy and traveller matters would be desireable but not essential.

For the most part as a locum civil litigation lawyer you will be expected to:

  • Support the litigation team including advocacy in court once per week if possible
  • Have a strong understanding and experience in a civil caseload
  • Work autonomously on your own matters, in particular; commercial disputes, insolvency, bankruptcy, landlord and tenant and general debt recovery

Candidates from Private Practise and Local Government are encouraged to apply as the client is open and flexible in their recruitment process.

Our Client will consider newly qualified solicitors although it is beneficial but not entirely necessary to have an experienced background in a local authority setting.

Benefits of the role:

  • Competitive hourly rate
  • A stable / supportive team
  • Flexible work opportunities - flexible hours and a generous working from home arrangement when not required in court

We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Lewis Dainty in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
