This leading, full-service Legal 500 firm's reputation is first class; you will not be disappointed by the quality of the work they have running throughout. They genuinely believe in a 'people-focused' approach.

This is an excellent moment for an experienced Housing Litigation Solicitor to join a highly respected firm within a celebrated department.

The Firm:

Ranked in the Top 100, this firm is different to many other City firms - they have a unique progressive culture, and unlike other City firms, it is common for people to stay with them for their entire careers. As a result, it is rare to find staff retention rates this good.

The firm is known for dealing with the highest quality work, and the London office has 400 members known for punching well above their weight.

In the last 12 months alone, the practice has advised its developer and social housing clients on £1 billion of residential sales and over £1 billion of refinancing.

The firm values work-life balance and has a friendly, progressive and supportive team dynamic but handles quality work like that of much larger City firms.

The Role:

The firm is seeking a Housing Litigation Solicitor to join at the Associate level with 3-7 years PQE.

You will find that the practice acts for the majority of London's major Housing Associations that together, manage assets valued at over £17 billion.

There is the opportunity to work on every aspect of housing litigation and residential property litigation matters - ranging from possession claims and injunction applications to risk advisory and everything in between.

The team works within both the social housing and private sectors leading to a diverse client roster consisting of developers, private individuals, companies, charities and institutions as well as large housing associations.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside and learn from highly skilled Partners, a valuable opportunity to build upon your skills and abilities. While you will work closely with the Partners, you will also have exposure to dealing with clients directly as the firm is a strong believer in "learning by doing".

The Housing Litigation sub-team consists of a Partner, two senior associates, two solicitors and four paralegals. You will work independently on your own caseload with supervision from the Senior Associates and Partner involvement.

The Housing sub-team sits within the wider 21-strong litigation team and there are very solid prospects for progression as the Housing team has grown rapidly in the last 5 years.

Requirements:

  • England and Wales qualified solicitor with 3-7 years PQE
  • Experience of Housing Litigation is essential
  • Able communicator with a client focus
  • Good work ethic and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment

This will is a fantastic Housing Litigation role in a pioneering and flexible firm in the heart of London.
