AML/Compliance Paralegal (Leeds/Hybrid)

My client is one if the largest and well-respected law firms in both the United Kingdom and across the world. With an office situated in a convenient and accessible location in Leeds, my client is looking to grow its Regulatory Risk and Compliance team by recruiting a paralegal/assistant to assist with a growing and interesting workload.

This role will involve the successful candidate working on a number of anti-money laundering (AML) and compliance matters across a wide range of instructions. Candidates will be exposed to working with and gaining an understanding of AML Regulations and how they relate to my client's operational jurisdictions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to advise partners on a wide range of AML and compliance issues and will become a central part in my client's approach to strategic risk management on projects across their UK and international offices.

To be considered for this role, candidates will have an advantage if they have working knowledge of laws and regulations in relation to Money Laundering (more specifically The Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (Amendment) Regulations 2019 and the SRA Code of Conduct). Another advantage for candidates will be if they have the ability to both interpret and apply AML regulations.

However, my client would also be keen to hear from candidates who may have a particular interest in compliance and who may be looking to build a career for themselves within this area. Candidates fitting this description will need to be able to readily demonstrate that interest and will ideally have worked in a similar role within another professional legal environment. Attention to detail and an ability to collaborate with other members of the team are key aspects of this role.
