Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer

London Borough Council

Long-Term Contract

A friendly and stable London Borough Council are seeking an ambitious Adult Social Care Lawyer to join them on a locum basis. The contract is expected to be long-term and you will be able to work remotely if this is your preference.

This council boasts a positive reputation and is known for its supportive and cooperative culture, particularly in its social care legal teams. There is also a strong working relationship between the legal team and the client department. The organisation is looking to add quality staff to their specialist Adult Social Care team to continue the Legal department's success.

The role offers the chance for a capable and personable Adult Social Care Lawyer to join an experienced team of two other Lawyers and a Paralegal.

The successful locum Adult Social Care Lawyer will handle a mixed caseload of community care cases, including:

  • Court of Protection proceedings
  • Deprivation of Liberty
  • Advising departments
  • Care leavers
  • s21A
  • Judicial review

Advocacy is not required, unless this is something you are interested in doing.
