We require a clinical negligence paralegal to join our award-winning medical negligence department.
The successful applicant will take on the key role of ‘first response paralegal’ for a range of clinical negligence new client enquiries. You will be the first person new enquiries speak to and therefore communication skills are incredibly important. You will be speaking to individuals who may have had a traumatic experience, it is therefore crucial that as well as being compassionate and showing empathy, you have the ability to gather key information, to be passed on to our senior solicitors.
Whilst first response will be your principal duty, other responsibilities will include assisting solicitors in the department with their client work and updating the new enquiries database and statistics.
The successful candidate must have a law degree, proficient IT skills and an ability to operate document and case management software. Full training will be given.
In return, you will be working with leading clinical negligence lawyers in London. The department is ranked in the Legal 500 and Chambers UK. Head of the department, Stephanie Prior, is recognised as one of the best clinical negligence lawyers in the UK and is regularly featured on various news programmes and contacted by the media for commentary. The team are accredited by AvMA and the Law Society’s Clinical Negligence Panel.
