Haggerty Jaques is delighted to be assisting Leeds Big Six law firm Walker Morris with the recruitment of a Data Protection solicitor.

Joining one of the biggest Regulatory and Compliance teams outside London, you will be advising on both contentious and non-contentious data protection matters. Your work will be varied and interesting and will involve you advising on ICO investigations, data breaches, data export and data processing agreements. You will also provide specialist Data Protection support to other teams within the firm.

The Regulatory & Compliance team, which comprises three partners, one director, one senior associate and three associates, acts for international businesses, household name brands, PLCs and start-ups.

Whilst some previous Data Protection experience is desirable, it is not essential; the team is also keen to speak to solicitors who are interested in re-training into this sought-after and future-proofed area of the law. You will have the support and guidance of your colleagues and will enjoy direct client contact.

You will be able to combine working from the firm’s modern city centre office with home/hybrid working.
