Junior Commercial Litigation Lawyer

Our agency is working closely with a world-renowned firm to assist them in their search for a Junior Commercial Litigation Lawyer to join their reputable team based in central London. 

This firm services an international community of clients and provides advice in situations where the constraints of geography often do not apply. The work undertaken is cross-border, multi-jurisdictional and complex, spanning six core practice areas: Corporate; Dispute Resolution; Employment; Innovation; Private; and Real Estate.

The Department

• The firm in question has one of the largest and most comprehensive Dispute Resolution offerings in London; over half of the Firm's lawyers are litigators.
• For many law firms, litigation is a distraction from their everyday focus. For them, dispute resolution is at the heart of our firm. They are unusual for a firm of their size in that they remain largely conflict free and able to act on large commercial disputes with financial institutions.
• They are one of the largest litigation teams in London with almost 300 litigators. They act for businesses that range from owner-manager operations to multinational entities with disputes which cross several jurisdictions.
• Their Commercial litigation team is regularly involved in cutting edge high value disputes, many of which have an international element, and which include sectors such as Asset & film finance, Aviation, Construction, Hardware & software, Oil and gas, Partnership & shareholder disputes, Professional negligence, Sanctions/state immunity, Securities litigation, Shipping and international trade and Telecommunications & technology.

Duties and Responsibilities

• This is a fantastic opportunity for a 0-2 PQE Associate to join their growing commercial litigation group on a fixed term basis.
• The successful candidate will be expected to work on an ongoing, high profile commercial litigation matter with two of the six partners in the team.

Skills/Experience

• At least 0-2 years PQE gained within commercial litigation at a rated international practice.
• Experience of representing clients in the Commercial Court
• Demonstrable passion for litigation.
• Training completed at a leading international law firm.
• Strong academic record, 2.1 degree minimum.
• Excellent team player.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Personable and confident, able to build relationships.
• Resilient and calm under pressure.
• Adaptable and flexible approach.
•  Pro-active, self-starter and takes initiative.
