Corporate Solicitor / Associate Manchester - This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Manchester office of a leading law firm whose Manchester office is set for significant growth.

With a particular focus on M&A work, the team sees massive opportunities particularly amongst its clients in manufacturing and technology as well as more niche areas such as life sciences. The role is designed to offer fantastic progression opportunities within the team for any candidate roughly between 0 to 4 PQE.

• Salary: £45,000 - £60,000
• Reports to: Partner
• Previous experience: 0-4 PQE - Ideally a solid background in M&A work. Private Equity experience would also be useful. Hiring managers are looking for candidates with real passion for corporate law and a real desire to develop a strong career in the Manchester market.

This is a really exciting time to be joining our client. The Manchester office in particular is set to undergo some significant changes over the next 18 months or so. Moreover, the new financial year looks promising as the steady flow of work continues. Another buoyant year is expected with deal volumes predicted to increase once again and our client is perfectly poised to take full advantage.

Particular areas of growth are manufacturing and technology. Leisure and retail are also showing positive signs of recovery and growth. Our client also has a real presence in the professional services and real estate / development sector which is expected to see more growth and consolidation.

Examples of recent instructions

The breadth of work is truly impressive. Recent deals include advising:

• a PE house on the £10m investment into a leading tech / analytics firm;
• a national professional services brand on the strategic acquisition of a leading business advisory practice;
• on the disposal of a portfolio of real estate assets of a major food manufacturer.

The team also advises on other corporate work including major JVs as well as cross-border transactions.
