Regulatory Defence Solicitor - North

Our client has a strong national reputation as a specialist advisor to its established client base in a broad range of sectors.

The Regulatory Department is recruiting for an experienced Regulatory Defence Solicitor to join its team of technical specialists in Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds or Newcastle. Its advisers offer expert advice to organisations and individuals facing prosecution, including criminal, Health & Safety, environmental, regulatory and CQC as well as advising individuals facing professional regulatory sanctions and representation at inquests.

Key responsibilities will include conducting attending applications and court hearings, carrying out advocacy at pre-inquest reviews and at inquests.

The successful applicant will be a qualified solicitor of 0-5 years PQE. Previous criminal defence work and/or regulatory work is desirable, as is previous inquest experience.

Excellent communication skills, an aptitude for teamwork and excellent IT and analytical skills are essential for this role as is an ability to work under pressure, keep to deadlines and prioritise your own workload.
