Associate - Commercial Tech Solicitor

The team requires a Commercial Solicitor 1-3 years PQE to join at the Associate level. You will sit within the Commercial and Technology team in the City of London, working on Brand Protection matters such as trademark protection.

The role:

This highly ranked Legal 500 and Top 150 UK law firm is seeking an Associate 1-3 PQE to join the Commercial and Technology team.

Ideally, you will have gained experience in advising on trademark protection in a number of settings. From small businesses at a local level to large corporations operating at the international level.

An interest and experience in brand protection matters will be highly advantageous. You will work independently on your own caseload (with appropriate supervision) with the opportunity to mentor more junior members of the team as you progress.

This role will come with business development responsibilities to drive the growth of your own practice as well as the wider team.

You should be experienced in working on matters such as:

- helping clients to develop filing strategies at local and international levels
- conducting and coordinating clearance searches
- handling registry objections
- advising on trademark oppositions and infringement issues, and drafting and negotiating basic trademark licences and associated documents.

Requirements:

• Solicitor 1-3 PQE with experience relating to the above duties
