Senior Intellectual Property Litigation Associate - City of London - Private Practice
Tier 1, global law firm seeks an IP Litigator experienced in hard and soft IP Litigation.
A full service law practice, who act for the public and private sector across the UK, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and the US providing legal advice to clients across the Company Commercial, Employment, Labour & Pensions, Litigation and Dispute Management, and Real Estate practices.

The Intellectual Property team is part of the wider Commercial practice group. The IP team handles both contentious and transactional IP work across all of the sectors mentioned above. They represent clients in disputes involving patents, trade marks, copyright, designs and confidential information, as well as related contractual and tortious claims. They also handle stand-alone IP transactions involving licences, assignments and joint-development projects, as well as the IP aspects of corporate transactions and advisory work on issues such as advertising regulation, brand and reputation management.

The firm is looking to add a Senior Associate (4-7 PQE) to ther Intellectual Property team in London. You will need to possess strong IP litigation experience and may also have experience of transactional IP work.
You will enjoy responsibility for the day-to-day handling of cases involving the infringement of patents, trade marks and copyright (particularly software), trade secret litigation and related contractual and commercial claims. You will have an opportunity to become involved in transactional and advisory IP work. You will have the confidence and experience to play a role in strategic decision-making and in managing more junior lawyers as part of a team. You will also enjoy business development and will be enthusiastic about playing your part in growing the firm's IP practice.
Ideally, you will have:
Around 4 - 7 years PQE in IP and Litigation, handling cases through to trial.
Experience of transactional and advisory IP will be advantageous
Strong academic credentials - a science background would be ideal but is not a pre-requisite.
Some experience of managing more junior lawyers as part of a team.
