An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Employment and Litigation Solicitor to join an in-house organisation in the North West on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advice and assistance on all employment matters, as well as providing advocacy for full merit hearings and tribunals.

You will be responsible for matters including but not limited to:

  • Resolving EC requests or assist in decision-making on engagement in EC
  • Managing issues including assessment of costs, awards and exposure, plus negotiation and closure of settlements
  • Drafting comprehensive witness statements and skeleton arguments, compelling cross-examination and re-examination
  • Supporting management of complex/high risk cases
  • Negotiating and drafting standard and bespoke Settlement Agreements
  • Identifying additional opportunities for new business within the external market and existing customer base

The ideal candidate would be highly self-motivated with experience in both Employment and Commercial Litigation. Previous experience specialising in Employment Law Advice and Employment Tribunal Advocacy would be highly advantageous.

This in-house organisation have an extensive benefits package including:

Pension: Match a colleague's contribution, plus 2%. This carries on to a maximum of 6% colleague contribution and 8% company contribution.
