Our client is looking for an experienced debt capital markets lawyer to join them as a professional support lawyer in a full time role (although part time candidates will be considered).

This role would suit an experienced lawyer with in-depth experience as a fee-earner and as a PSL of investment grade debt capital markets transactions, up to date knowledge of the regulatory architecture and outlook as well as market documentation standards, current hot topics (including ESG developments) and key negotiating points. A working knowledge of the high yield market and documentation is desirable although this not the primary focus of the practice. The role will involve a mix of internal and client-facing know-how activities and BD support for activities where technical expertise is required. Know-how projects, reflective of the practice, can be wide ranging. The firm's PSLs (with appropriate support) are expected to respond to the needs the practice from time to time. This role will suit a lawyer with the confidence to react to evolving requirements and the ability to operate independently and prioritise multiple demands on their time. The role will report into the Head of Debt Capital Markets and the PSL will be supported by a dedicated knowledge paralegal. It will also involve working closely with the other financing partners and a range of other members of the financing team at all levels of seniority, as well as our central business services teams.

Professional Support Lawyer
The role is full time although applications for a part-time role will be considered. Flexible working arrangements are available. The appropriate designation on the PSL career ladder (which comprises PSL, Senior PSL and PSL Counsel) will be determined according to the experience and seniority of the successful candidate and the salary would reflect that. Minimum salary would be £120K, but if you are more senior, the range would go up from there.
Successful candidates will have a minimum of 7 years' PQE working in DCM from a top tier London firm and will ideally have done PSL type work in the past.

*Where a level of experience is indicated, this is a guideline only and represents the amount of time we would usually expect a candidate to accumulate the requisite level of experience. This does not preclude applications from candidates with more or less experience.
