Taylor Root is retained by a Gaming & Betting market leader with operations spanning a number of countries across the globe. They have developed ground-breaking technologies, built player protection frameworks, and have a proven track record of making lotteries better. This entrepreneurial business is looking for an experienced Corporate lawyer to join them in this newly created position and lead on all M&A activity and other strategic transactions as they enter an extremely interesting period of growth.

Reporting to the General Counsel you will be the lead lawyer for all Corporate M&A deals globally, including large private M&A, and general corporate matters. There will be plenty of variety and complexity in the types of transactions that you would be expected to handle. Day to day you will provide a legal advice to a range of international stakeholders in the business with emphasis on supporting the senior management team. You will also be responsible for anticipating and managing legal risks to the business and instructing external legal counsel where necessary.

You will ideally be 7-12 PQE and qualified in the UK or US. In-house experience would be useful but is not essential. You must have diverse and complex M&A transactional experience ideally with the gaming, betting, technology or Private Equity industry. You will need to be adept at navigating a multi-jurisdictional and highly regulated environment as well as possess the interpersonal skills to build solid relationships across the business.

The remuneration package on offer is extremely competitive. Please note there will be travel with this role.
