Democratic Services Officer

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced Democratic Services Officer to join a great local authority for an initial 3 months to 6 months, with a strong possibility of extension. The Democratic Services Officer role will be based within the North West.

As Democratic Services Officer you will have previous experience of working within Democratic Services of a Local Authority. Whilst qualification under the Association of Democratic Services Officers is an advantage, it is not a requirement. As Democratic Services Officer you will have the following responsibilities:

• To provide full procedural and administrative support to Overview and Scrutiny Committees and other bodies
• To provide Constitutional and decision making advice to Elected Members and Officers of the Council in relation to the Council's decision making process
• To prepare detailed Committee reports relevant to the functions delegated to the post.
• To administrate School Admission and Exclusion Appeals
