Corporate Lawyer

An international group of businesses is looking to hire a junior to mid-level corporate lawyer to join the small and busy group legal function. Working directly with the UK and Global General Counsel, you will work on strategic M&A deals and corporate restructurings, in addition to preparing and negotiating commercial contacts and providing ongoing corporate support. This is a BAU role for a conglomerate of companies where nothing is BAU. Wider group legal function work will include providing a wide range of legal advice across the metals, engineering and financial services sectors. You will also assist with corporate advisory, general commercial, competition and regulatory matters.  The legal team is highly respected and critical to the business.

We are looking for someone who can cope in a high pressure and sometimes fire-fighting environment. Someone who is a true problem solving lawyer. You will be required to help the business get the outcomes they are looking for and really add value. You need to integrate and quickly understand the structure, and what is required and support your colleagues. To be considered for this position you should be between 2 and 5 years qualified, with strong academics and good training from a top City Firm.
