Commercial insurance Lawyer dealing with Property Damage required for Greater Manchester law firm

This is a large, UK Top-50 law firm that specialise in defendant insurance legal services for a wide range of well known clients. The firm are expansive and are growing their property risk and coverage team with an experienced commercial insurance lawyer. This could be a retrain opportunity for someone working within commercial or civil litigation who is looking to move towards property based work. The firm have a number of opportunities for talented lawyers to join the team. These opportunities have arisen due to our strong market growth and client wins.

Your new role
As a lawyer in the Commercial Insurance - Property Risks & Coverage team, you will deal with some of the highest profile commercial insurance disputes in the country. Whilst commercial insurance focussed, someone with a commercial litigation or professional indemnity background could be considered. You will have access to the most high profile, complex, technical and valuable disputes covering issues ranging from: defended liability claims for property damage, major property loss subrogation, policy coverage and insurance fraud.

Key accountabilities will include;:

• Reviewing and contract drafting
• Bespoke draft advice on coverage
• Dealing with all aspects of litigation
• Consider issues of coverage, liability, quantum and strategy

What you'll need to succeed

• Legal qualification require i. Solicitor/FILEX
• Previous Commercial Insurance/Commercial Litigation/Professional Indemnity/Defendant property insurance litigation experience
• A knowledge and understanding of the types of disputes handled by the department and claims handled by the department's insurer clients
