About the company

A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a FTSE30 company for a talented corporate lawyer to join the legal team. You will be part of an established legal team which is central to the company's high powered and fast paced retail, banking, and data science businesses.

About the role

You will join a highly regarded legal team with a remit to support in the UK and internationally on a wide range of corporate, M&A and partnerships (corporate and commercial). The nature of the work undertaken is high profile, interesting, challenging, and diverse. You will take on a high level of responsibility and work closely with senior stakeholders including the well-renowned Global General Counsel. You will also be able to broaden your remit with commercial work if this interests you as part of your skills development.

About you

Ideally you will be a 2-4PQE UK qualified lawyer with a variety of corporate M&A experience. You will need to possess the interpersonal skills to build solid relationships across the business to have the greatest impact. You may be in-house already or at a law firm looking for a new career direction. This role will be hugely rewarding for a junior lawyer looking to take a step up as it will provide plenty of autonomy with the chance to lead on transactions independently and utilise external counsel where necessary. The business has a focus on career development and enabling the legal team to have an input in to business decisions.

This is a unique opportunity for a corporate lawyer to join a FTSE30 and lead on a wide variety of Corporate M&A activity in a supportive, collaborative, and diverse legal team.
