JOB TITLE: Adult Social Care Lawyer (Locum)
PQE REQUIRED: 3+
LOCATION: London / Hybrid Working
SALARY: Up to £55 per hour inside IR35

THE ROLE:
Looking for a change? This busy local authority is looking for an experienced and motivated Adult Social Care Lawyer to join their Legal Services team on a temporary basis whilst they undergo a particularly busy time. The successful Adult Social Care Lawyer will oversee the whole process of each case from pre-proceedings through to completion of the final hearing. It’s fast-paced and hard work at times but having such a significant influence will mean you’ll play a huge role in ensuring successful outcomes for the adults concerned. The role will deal primarily with Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards challenges and Mental Capacity Act decision-making, but the successful Legal Professional will also be required to assist in other areas of Adult Social Care including Ordinary Residence disputes, Care Act duties and Mental Health Act matters.

THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are sought after from experienced Adult Social Care solicitors, barristers or Legal Executives that will have gained upwards of 3 years’ experience in a similar role. Your contributions will help to ensure vulnerable adults are supported to live as independently as possible. Our client is looking for someone who can hit the ground running so experience in Adult Social Care law is essential. Local authority experience is not necessary. Local Government experience is not essential but some experience of advising on the Mental Capacity Act is required for this post. Regular homeworking is available with this role but occasional office presence and attendance to hearings will be required.

eNL will never share your CV with a third party without your express permission. As part of our candidate care process, we aim to respond to all applications in 7 days. If you have not been contacted within this timescale, your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Please note our advertisements use PQE/salary level purely as a guide.

At eNL we value diversity and inclusion. We want to attract people at all levels and encourage applications from all suitably qualified candidates, whatever your ethnicity, religion, age, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other characteristics protected by law in the jurisdictions in which we operate.
