The Role:

As the new Disputes Associate, you will:

• Join the Pensions and Contentious Trusts team, sitting within the Employment Pensions and Private Wealth department
• Hold 0-3 years PQE
• Be handling various disputes arising from pension schemes
• Handle Professional negligence claims, rectification/construction claims, parts 8 & 7 claims, judicial review/public law issues, contract disputes and international disputes

About You: 

As the new Disputes Associate, you must be technically excellent as well as commercially aware and enthusiastic about business development. You will:

• Have trained at an established firm, and boast experience in pensions and/or disputes, with a desire to focus on contentious work concerning pension schemes
• Be able to build first-class working relationships with clients and peers 
• Manage matters, with supervision from Senior Associates and Partners
• Delegate to Trainees and Paralegals
• Hold excellent verbal and numerical communication skills
• Have the ability to acquire, consolidate and apply fundamental and up-to-date knowledge of the law
• Be personable and have a positive attitude to work together in a team
