The Role:

Become a part of a global team, advising clients at all stages of their transactions from mergers and acquisitions and venture capital to private and public equity and debt offerings.

The new Corporate Associate will work with Cross-border M&A (public and private), including:

• Inception, planning and due diligence
• Deal execution
• Post-merger integrations
• Joint ventures 
• Growth by alternatives to M&A 
• Capital Markets (equity and debt) 
• Private Equity
• Investment Funds
• Venture Capital
• Corporate Governance

Desired Skills: 

• Solicitor or barrister, ideally qualified in England & Wales or a Commonwealth jurisdiction
• Knowledge of private equity and M&A transactions across a range of sectors 
• Experience working across jurisdictions and/or with emerging markets
• Proven track record of leading deals and negotiations 
• Commercially astute and stays current on key legal and business news 
• First-rate skills in communication, client relations, and team-working
• Proactive and innovative
• Awareness of business development initiatives in the department and identifies ways to contribute

The Corporate Associate will have the ability to: 

• Provide professional, quality services in a timely manner, and respond effectively to requests from internal and external clients
• Recognise and seize opportunities for the firm, including repeat business
• Build and develop their own network of internal and external contacts
• Maintain a controlled, objective, and flexible approach under pressure
