The Role:

The firm is seeking a Real Estate Associate Solicitor 1 - 5 PQE to join its celebrated Social Housing team in the firm's flagship office based in the City of London.

The Social Housing team is well-known for the quality of legal service it provides and this role will specialise in the acquisition and development of affordable housing. You will gain exposure to a variety of real estate areas connected to the affordable housing sector - making this job more varied than most.

With growth continuing both within the team but also the wider firm, what really sets this position apart is the opportunity for progression, particularly for those seeking to achieve Senior Associate and beyond.

The workload will focus primarily on acquisitions and development of affordable housing. You will have the opportunity to participate or even lead projects including forward funding; forward commitment agreements; planning agreements, nominations and infrastructure agreements; management agreements and leases; joint ventures; lease/leaseback funding arrangements; commercial leases and associated property law work.

Other work will involve dealing with precedents and due diligence as well rectification matters including variations to 106 agreements, nomination agreements and title documents. You will have the opportunity to assist in training and supervising junior members of the team as part of your development.

The role will provide unrivalled client exposure with the opportunity to work directly alongside award-winning Partners in a collaborative and non-hierarchical team.

Requirements:

  • You will be an England & Wales Solicitor 1 - 5 PQE
  • Have real estate experience- ideally relating to social housing
  • Able communicator with strong client care
