Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced Democratic Services Officer to join a great local authority for an initial 3 months to 6 months, with a strong possibility of extension. The Democratic Services Officer role will be based in the Greater Manchester Area. Office attendance will be required 3 days a week.
As Democratic Services Officer you will have previous experience of working within Democratic Services of a Local Authority. As Democratic Services Officer you will have the following responsibilities:
- To provide full procedural and administrative support to Overview and Scrutiny Committees and other bodies
- To provide Constitutional and decision making advice to Elected Members and Officers of the Council in relation to the Council's decision making process
- To prepare detailed Committee reports relevant to the functions delegated to the post.
- To administrate School Admission and Exclusion Appeals
